When you don’t know a language, one of the most efficient ways to learn it is through videos. In this post, I will show you my favorite YouTube videos for learning Spanish. These are 11 YouTube channels with Spanish learning videos that will help you grasp vocabulary and grammar quickly, as well as shorten your path to fluency. Benny Lewis is a polyglot who has learned to speak 8 languages fluently. He is also the author of “Fluent in 3 Months”, which is a great book for learning Spanish quickly. Benny’s channel proves that you can learn any language, even without understanding everything at first glance. Watching his videos helped me improve my Spanish enough for an interview with my boss in the language!
The second channel I recommend comes from Michel Thomas. Michel was an American legend when it came to language learning. He has been teaching Spanish to natives since 1961. This channel is perfect if you ever have a question about how to say something, or the difference between a verb and a noun. They also provide interactive lessons that guide you through the lesson, which is great for learning grammar and vocab.
I recommend this channel for two reasons: it has not only videos for speaking practice, but also 52 interactive lessons that will help you learn grammar and vocabulary. I’d recommend starting with their lessons, then using the speaking practice videos when you are ready. At the beginning, it will seem strange to have someone speak to you in Spanish, but with time everything will feel natural. The FSI Spanish course was used by the United States Intelligence community in order to teach agents how to speak Spanish. The course has been around since 1956, so it has had a lot of time to improve over the years. I’d recommend starting with their free resources on their website before getting started with their videos here!
Why? Because Paco is incredibly entertaining and his accent is awesome (and like Benny Lewis, he has learned eight languages). Paco’s Spanish accent will have you begging to understand him, so yes please!
Learn Spanish with The Language Hub is a great resource for improving your grammar and vocabulary. This channel is great if you are looking for explanations of grammar. They also have 22 interactive lessons that guide you through the features of the language.
Another resource that I recommend is Rosetta Stone. One of the hardest things about learning a new language is remembering vocabulary, but Rosetta Stone gives you flashcards that reinforce what you learned in their lessons. It’s possible to learn words at random, but often times if you already know what it means, it will be easier to remember it in context.
